[review wip, i haven't even played so much of the game yet]

It's my first mainline Zelda game i've ever played, i didn't play the older entries in my life aside from Four Swords Adventures and trying Zelda 1 (NES) in blind without even knowing what to do.
To much surprise it did give me a impression of exploration and the many things you can do here are meant to be discovered by yourself. Looking up guides kind of ruins the surprise so i tend to avoid that.

You start with Link waking up in his chamber as he finds himself in middle of the plains of Hyrule, 100 years after the end of the kingdom. A kind of curious old man meets you to tell about the history of Hyrule, and this is where you will embark on a journey to banish Ganon... but this time there's no Triforce, you'll have to get the aid of Impa in order to figure out how to do that. And this is where all the fun begins.

It's not much of a full-fledged survival game but a calmly open world adventure where you go around the plains using your trusty Sheikah tablet (which strongly resembles the shape of the Nintendo Switch, being the fact BOTW is technically one of the first party games to be released on the console) and picking everything you find in your way to improvisely arm and cure yourself instead of finding healing potions around specific places in the world. But that's not it. More nifty stuff comes in the way as you upgrade your Sheikah tablet including utilities that are well used for puzzles AND... the Camera.

Everybody's played this game and for 7 years i used to be so eager wanting to buy this console, but at last i finally had the opportunity to try it out and it's amazing, even if i don't have much of a habit playing open world games for how much they can feel dispersive at times.
