This collection of games is my first introduction to Ezio's story, and these games are some of the BEST I have ever played.

Assassin's Creed Lineage: Now this is a short film and not a game, but I thought it was a great prologue to Assassin's Creed 2. I give this short film 4/5 stars.

Assassin's Creed II: This game is GREAT. The gameplay is so addictingly fun and has lots of variety. However, one problem I encountered was sometimes, when I wanted to go up and climb something, Ezio would instead jump at the camera. The open world is so great to travel around in. The story is also great, but it has a HUGE pacing issue. The story was dragged out and could've been way shorter. The characters are compelling and likeable, and the story is entertaining as well. Overall, I give this game 4.5/5 stars.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood: The gameplay is like the game's before it but EVEN better. The combat has been changed differently, but for the better. Lot's of people complain about the story of this game, and although it isn't as good as Assassin's Creed 2's story, I still think it was good. The pacing in this story is WAY better than the pacing in Assassin's Creed 2. Overall, I give this game 4/5 stars.

Assassin's Creed Revelations: Out of all the Assassin's Creed games, I believe this is the BEST one. The gameplay is so much better here, along with a new hook-blade feature in the parkour. I also haven't encountered any glitches or bugs in this game. The story here is perfect. Both Ezio and Altair get GREAT and BEAUTIFUL endings to their days as assassin's.
I give this game 5/5 stars.

Assassin's Creed Embers: This is also a short film, but this one is animated. This film shows Ezio's final days of his life. It's such a beautiful story ending to this beloved character. I give it 5/5 stars.

After reviewing each of the games and short films individually, I give the whole collection 4.5/5 stars. A great collection of games that have awesome gameplay and stories.

As if the movie this game is tied to wasn't already bad, I genuinely believe this game is an even worse experience. The combat is basically just a copy of Arkham's combat system but not as good. This game also has stealth missions, but they aren't all that fun since they all feel the same. The web swinging is okay but it's definitely not the best out there. This game has a reputation meter, where if you do the side crime stopping activities, the city will like you, but if you don't do them then more enemies will spawn in the open world and will try and kill you. I get that they did this to encourage players to do the crime activities, but a: you can ignore these if you go from story mission to story mission quick enough, and b: I would actually be motivated to do the crime activities if they were any fun. The story is also very lackluster and boring. It feels like they were trying to tell a unique story, but then remembered at the end that they had to shove the movie's plot in here as well (besides Gwen Stacy for some reason). This game also has dialogue sections, but they are neither interesting or necessary. You're literally allowed to choose all of them or none of them, and your choice won't affect the game's story at all. Overall, I feel like this game is crap and I give it 2/5 stars.

Now, I can defend the Spider-Man 3 film, but this game is an entirely different case. The gameplay is so frustratingly bad. Spider-Man just feels so weak compared with his villains. Anything capable of forming a fist could kick his ass, even if he has the symbiote. Speaking of which, the symbiote isn't really that different from the normal suit, besides the rage meter. The boss fights are so bad. They aren't even hard, but time consuming. You have to hit the bosses a million times (obviously exaggerating here) before you beat them. There is an abundance of QTE's here, which I wouldn't mind if they were good, but they aren't. The game barely gives you enough time to click a button in a QTE. If you fail a QTE in a boss fight multiple times, you have to start the ENTIRE boss fight all over again. I'm mainly talking about the Kraven and Sandman boss battles. The story isn't anything good. It's basically the movie's plot without any emotion. The game's cutscenes and models are also hideous to look at. Even for the time this game was released, the graphics were awful. The ONLY reason I'm giving this game 3/5 stars and not two of them is because the game's cutscenes and story are so pathetically and hilariously bad that I start laughing at the game. I give this game 3/5 stars. Only buy this game if you want a good laugh and an example of what a bad game is.
