A very good game
Pretty short though and the new characters are generally good Shishido was the best of them Kiryu was as always presented in an excellent way the fight between them had many references I think? or whatever as you can see or at least that is how I saw it Shishido had a shitty past he was forced to fight in an arena so he experienced torture and fear just like all other Yakuza members so he was an outcast like them and it is pretty clear why he would see the Yakuza and leading the Yakuza the biggest honor and this explains why losing dissolving the omi alliance would mean losing everything for him so no matter how many times you kick his ass he will get just like Kuze in Yakuza Zero while Kiryu who lost a lot of people knows how Shishido would feel and knows the glory but you cannot say he lost everything because he still has his family which he sacrificed his own happiness to protect well I think you can summarize the main idea of the fight as in one needs to protect what he lives for with all his might and I think this idea is implemented in all the fights in the series as a whole.
I think the gameplay was good the best gameplay mechanics in the dragon engine for Kiryu with no clunkiness and smoothness and I know what I am saying is flat because it is actually I do not know how can I explain the gameplay.
Yeah and I really hated that the game felt like a spinoff for Yakuza 7 which I think it is lol I mean the objective of dissolving the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance is the main the biggest objective in Yakuza 7 which is wrong in my opinion because this game is SUPPOSED to be the last game for Kiryu as the main character it shouldn't end like this.
