an decent entry in the series, Dead Space 3 still manages to have series's quality gunplay, voice-acting and overall atmosphere with new additions such as the crafting system which Isaac can collect materials in order to craft weapons, and an non-linear structure with multiple side-quests to take on as opposed to a primary one.

The crafting-system is a good addition, building new weapons is nice and can fundamently change an weapon's playstyle since you can attach other weapons parts into an creation allowing from creative combinations such as a Shotgun or an SMG attached to a Plasma Cutter and so on.

The non-linear structure is also an welcome addition to the series's overall design, side-missions offer good storytelling and general rewards on completion. The great level-design also helps into the enjoyment of them.

The biggest flaws around DS3 are by far the lack of an meaningful narrative and the general lack of an Horror atmosphere, the previous 2 sequels are by far one of the most scarier games out there in part thanks to the atmosphere, and the overall enviroment. In DS3 this is not the case, enviroments lack that "heavy" feeling to be lonely into a Space Station full of horrendous monsters and this only gets worse as you progress through the campaign.

Overall the game is still worth an playthrough and you will have fun if you expect an Sci-fi action shooter since this is the only aspect the game got ir right.
