Both Deus Ex' story and gameplay are beautiful examples of what videogames can do. I couldn't figure out how to segue this into a deeper review so I'll keep it simple, it can be jank (it WILL be jank), it can be goofy and I don't think the gameplay proper fully holds up, but Deus Ex is genuinely still rarely matched in terms of level design depth and even today its world and story is extremely immersive, there's a lot to love about it.
