While optimistic, there was no other way I could describe the leadup to Resident Evil 4's 2023 remake than cautious. Fortunately, that wasn't all that warranted because the game nailed every aspect of it that I could think of. It reworks slower areas of the game, adds new and addictive gameplay mechanics, and modernizes just about everything you could think of.
