NOTE: This is a review for base game, when i am done with DLCs, i will write another review for DE.
Mafia 3 is a disappointing game with great foundation.
Story is interesting, characters are well writen, cutscenes are great, story telling is really good, gameplay is solid, variety is good, graphics are fine for its age, New Bordeaux is a well designed city, and all of this leads to... MAFIA 3
They really put side missions as your main objectives and you have to complete them to finish the story... WHY? Why not make this game shorter but better? Why make your great content get burried under shitty mission design? I just can't find reason for this. You already have good missions and they take long to finish. Just make missions longer with more enemies and some level design tricks, WHY MAKE SIDE CONTENT YOUR ACTUAL IMPORTANT CONTENT.
Mafia 3 is just... sad. It has potential but devs gone lazy or 2K forced them to release the game early... Both scenario is just bad.
I liked the game but most of the people will just drop it after 6-7 hours and I honestly understand, It is not for everyone and not everyone can stand repetitive game design.
