RE:CALL is a game that caught my eye back as far as when the first ever demo dropped, I really loved it! The premise was hittin, i loved the idea of altering the past to make the future something new through a character altering their own memories. It's such an INSANE premise, and i even loved the character designs
shit got enhanced even with designs i thought were already pretty cool :) !! And then i FINALLY got to play it.. but what the hell? january was PACKED! like. dead space remake was off its coattails, fire emblem engage, and many more as well as game announcements and things like pizza tower and hifi rush would bring up the rear... so i actually kinda got worried for this project and tried shilling it here and there ( not to really get attention from any of the devs, idc bout getting anything from them i just didnt want them to feel like they were gettin kinda aired!!)
but my worries were hugely overblown because whitehorn has Had it's fanbase goin on and it Did get more than just a handful of people checking it out

But i still felt something was off, and thanks to my fiance i was able to finally get it and beat it and *i.. LIKED IT
im not being overdramatic or anything but i DO WISH SOME THINGS WERE DIFFERENT

Lets keep goin with the good though, i think this story is mostly cool and some of these levels are AWESOOOOOME i really like a lot of these puzzles some of them had my jaw drop like "ohhh shit we gotta get so and so up in here?" or "oh so and so was in on itttt??" there's some cool moments with the puzzles but i do think near the endgame i was just STUUUUUUUUUUUUMPED STUMPED because at the end of the day this is a puzzle game babe. I think it really hits me and I feel stupid from the stealth chapter onward, i needed marginal help here and there for the previous chapter but it was NOT as immense as that point in the game. I feel like when you get to the climax it still feels like a lot of this could be expanded upon as well and theres desire for longer puzzles.. but i think it becomes less tight as the first three before it how fun they are to play. I TYPICALLY suck at puzzle games but this actually kinda felt like I had a handle on it in a good way till those points though
I think the ingame explanation for the power itself is a bit weird though and it got to the point where I was surprised just how short this really is, the bulk of my playtime is rlly just from my thickskull
but even I thought that the ending wraps things almost quick feeling , its a little satisfying though.. a little!

All in all I think its a cool game that gets some of its ideas executed well but also falls flat in some other areas for me, i think some of the characters are kinda cool and there's some good moments worth trying it for. But I
do* think i wanted a bit more outta this. thats all i got, cya
