>"It's too easy."
It's literally a game made for young children, calm the fuck down. This is no different from Kirby or Yoshi titles where 90% of the game is insanely easy, but holds up due to the charming presentation and artstyle. Hell, Even the original game aka Super Princess Peach was extremely easy. But I'm guessing nobody here played that game because people are acting like they're stuck in the 2010s where everything must be Dark Souls tier of difficulty.

This seems more tilted than so called reviews calling it too easy

It is very different actually. The difference is that other recent "too easy" games like Mario Wonder or Kirby's Return to Dream Land have tons of depth to their mechanics or gameplay design to compensate for their lack of challenge. From what I've seen Peach Showtime is basically just "press A to win" in most circumstances, with very little room for experimentation. A game can be made for young children and still be fun for all ages.

@jclkaytwo fully agree with and am very fond of this point. kirby's a braindead easy game for kids on paper, but an adult can still enjoy it for all the micro-challenges presented, like holding onto a copy ability they particularly like. or just generally experimenting with mechanics like rolling downhill as a rock, riding over small gaps as a wheel, bouncing lasers off corners, etc.

"it's for kids" is a pretty shallow point across the board. classic spongebob is for kids too, but i'd much rather show a toddler something with some wit to it than baby sensory overload shit
@chandler yeah agreed all the way
