Coming from someone who has not played the original I found this game to be quite fun. The game doesn't hold your hand, but it isn't insanely cryptic about what you need to do. The gunplay is a little basic but still enjoyable. The visuals are phenomenal. I especially love the animations for all the weapons. The low res textures were strange at first but grew on me over time. The music is nice and atmospheric when you're exploring the station but gets your blood pumping when you get into combat. The story is nothing ground breaking but it is still good. I really liked the ever present nature of SHODAN as an antagonist. My only complaints are a very lackluster final boss and the one maze on the final level.
