I'm not sure if I've ever been this polarised on a game before. On one hand the visuals are beautiful and there is some simple one to be had in exploring this vast world with complete freedom. There are some great sequences especially in the regional phenomenon missions (shoutout Tulin my guy) and abilities like the ultrahand add so much more opportunity to experiment in an already open world game.

However, there are many times where the game seems oblivious to what makes it so fun and instead becomes a meandering bore. By the end of the game I was kinda just waiting for it to be over and fighting through the annoyance that was the destroy Ganondorf and find the 5th sage missions (the former having a very annoying fight geez this combat system was not built for actual bosses.

On a more personal level I prefer games with great soundtracks and fleshed out stories. In my opinion this game really has neither of these and when the latter does appear, it feels extremely underwhelming and underdeveloped (I really was not a fan of the ending of this game).

Overall, my opinions on this game are extremely mixed. I reckon if I was like 15 and had much more free time (and had never played Xenoblade), I reckon I would love this. Unfortunately I'm not.
