what the fuck is the link between hotline miami and this game

bruh, both games are like extremely similar in their messages. mute protag, they both get calls from someone to go assassinate people. both have "philosophical" meanings hidden behind stylized aesthetics. they both have the same driving theme and motifs. both games have low health bars, both games have you at one point fight against your own team, both games comment on "harsh/cruel reality", there are so many other similarities. the biggest difference is that this is a FPS, and that's a top down shooter.
