A pleasant surprise after the previous installment was one of the absolute worst games I've ever played. Almost all of my complaints from that game are fixed, and more, with a unique overworld, better visuals and enemy designs, and some of the best 2D Mario levels since the SNES! It's a fun romp that I can't help but enjoy. It starts a little slow, but give it a chance because the coolest levels are hiding just below the surface.
