That accursed, unending dirge as the aliens slowly but relentlessly make their way towards you. A couple of shields make up your only line of defense from their laser fire, and you have to eliminate them over and over until you're inevitably overwhelmed. Its copycats would improve on it in nearly every way down the line, but it's impossible to deny how fun it is, and how fully-formed it came.
