Games that scared me as a kid

I made a list of films that scared me as a kid on Letterboxd, time to bring it here too.

Again, I never played any hardcore horror games (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, etc) growing up, my parents were stricter about M-rated games. I also didn't grow up with "typical" scary childhood games like Super Mario 64 or Epic Mickey.

Not on Backloggd:
-Cave Chaos 2

AdventureQuest
AdventureQuest
The mission "Warlich" did it for me, when we see his face shifting between normal, rotten and skull-like (might be remembering wrong)
DragonFable

There were a couple of things I remember being scary to my young self, not all of them immediately coming to mind right now:
-The "scary doll" enemy
-The "spare parts" enemy (the fact that the thing's appearance was randomized was unnerving to kid me, because it was like it could be anything)
-That poster with the zombie goblin
-One mission (I don't even remember which one) that had a demonic evil laugh playing, which was unexpected to me
The Last of Us
The Last of Us
I obviously didn't actually play it, or even see much of it, it was just that back when the game was still new, my older brother and father were discussing the plot, and that alone left me horrified
Minecraft

It was the zombie sounds that were scary at first. Later, the fact that monsters spawn in any dark enough area was disturbing to me
Pokémon Pearl Version

The laboratory where Cyrus kept the Lake Guardian trio. Mostly the music, which I couldn't stand listening to

(in Diamond and Platinum as well, but Pearl is the one I played as a kid)
Timez Attack
Timez Attack
Yes, really. I was scared of the opening, where you're in a creepy dungeon place, and I was expecting something truly horrible lurking. I didn't get past that and made up excuses as to why I couldn't play to hide how scared I was
