When you're someone (like me) who always writes one line, stupid reviews, writing a real review is tough. However, because there is so much to be said about Moon, I feel like writing a real review this time.

Moon is a magical game. Honestly, it might be one of the most magical games I have ever played. Moon drops you into its colorful world with a clock and some lil dudes who can be grabbed like 95% of the time. The bulk of this game is grabbing the lil dudes to raise your "love" which will allow you to stay awake for longer. Another way to raise your love is to progress the story or to just interact with the various characters in the game and do their fetch quests for them. Gaining more love will let you do more things, so its basically like downing 12 5 Hour Energies.

One of my favorite parts of Moon is the MD (Moon Disc) system. You collect MDs either from buying them at the MD shop (Burrn is my goat, he's awesome) or from collecting them after a character event. MDs can then be put into your MD playlist, which allows you to just play whatever you want while walking around. The music selection is absolutely phenomenal. My personal favorites are "Warp Wet Woods" by The Sleepwalk and "Head in the Clouds" by MORIKAWA HiROTOH.

My other favorite part of Moon is the style and vibe of the game. The clay monster designs clash but also somehow blend with the 3D rendered backdrops and it gives such a distinct look. On the topic of the clay monster designs, they are amazing. Two-oh-clocky is my favorite, he's such a little goober.

Moon is a game that was far far far ahead of its time. If it had came out in today's climate, it would have been a hit. Very grateful for Onion Games giving this game a localization and rerelease and I hope we get to see a new rendition of the beautiful world of Moon again someday.
