My 2024 GOTOYs

Nothing here!

Yeah, I should've played this one when it came out, 'ey?

Trepang2 is easily one of the best-feeling shooters I have ever played. Everything feels like an unstoppable death machine and the character dialogue all works in harmony to make the main character out to be the god of war that your abilities make you into.
There have been a few attempts over the years to make a new Lemmings-inspired experience. None have felt amazing personally before now. Moons of Darsalon is everything I love about Lemmings mixed with everything I love about Noita all wrapped in an amazing art style.
After the intense "filling a market hole" vibe of resisting Zombie Army Trilogy, i expected very little of Zombie Army 4. That was a mistake. Zombie Army 4 is a fantastic horde shooter. It takes all the good stuff from the earlier Zombie Armys of the enemy variety and general weapon situation, but then just has so much fun with it throwing in boss enemies and special weapons and traps and so much more.
Chillquarium is an idle game in the truest sense. You can barely do anything, and you're just supposed to look at it. Its generally a good execution of that, but its kinda hard to critique an aquarium.
Battlefront feels undeniably like a blueprint for Battlefront II. The problem lies in that that is all it feels like in the modern era. At no point while playing Battlefront did I feel any inkling that it had any superior traits to Battlefront II. Its campaign is a bland, generally exceptionally easy (except for specifically Geonosis which is impossible) series of very milquetoast multiplayer bot matches.
You can leave this one where it lies. Man, who in their right mind greenlit a sequel to this? I mean I'm thankful because I adore the ensuing series, but good god.
