Considering that RE4 Original is one of my favorite games of all time, I was terrified when I heard it was getting a remake. Those fears were quickly set aside upon playing RE4R. Combat feels crisp and fantastic within the new RE engine that's been in use since RE2R. The characters are still as charming as ever, and feel more well rounded as actual people. The game has been assembled in a way that definitely brings together the greatest hits of the original, and very tactically omits certain sections that were more frustrating.
