maybe it is but you'd probably understand where they're coming from if you played more mainline games and compared them to smtv

The game deserves the hate after 5 years of radio silence, getting nothing as promised as the game was supposed to tackle "unfair job market, aging, terrorists, and nuclear weapons.", and that the original director Yamai left during mid-development, causing the final game to be a messy fusion of Yamai original vision and Komori(The current director) different vision. This isn't even pointing out the actual issues the game has, like how the dungeons are poorly designed or how ultimately everything you do is pointless.

Agreed, playing nocturne now and its great but its comparable to smtv/ maybe even a little weaker
