Hold your horses before jumping in, because all these high ratings you see omit a lot of details.

First, saying that the silver case is convoluted is an understatement. The writing is amateurish even when it shines, and I had moments when the dialogue became so horrible I begged for the sequence to end.

The theme that's discussed is brilliant for it's time and that cannot be denied, although it was disappointing to find it presented somewhat poorly and bundled with this amount of stuffing and unintentional red herrings.

For those who don't know, the game follows 2 story arcs, "Transmitter" & "placebo". The 1st is the main story and the 2nd is the same events from a different perspective.
Placebo chapters were HORRIBLE, the boring dialogue, the infuriating transitions that re-occur a lot, the numbing pace that kills any momentum you carried from the adjacent transmitter chapter.

This is a story that could've been cleaned up and sanitized from unnecessary length to become a better VN at half it's length. I genuinely want to give 25th ward a chance, but it'll take me some time to scrape up the guts to do so.
