A little experience not different from cinematic games like TLOU. The writing takes strides and trips down at times. pacing is good but not without its deus ex machina progression at specific points.

Gameplay design is appropriate for the game's tone, there's very striking issues such as odd checkpoint placement dragging you back more than needed, and gathering items that fill the codex takes sharp detours even during sequences of dramatic importance etc...
Due to the game's nature, what we can call boss fights will be akin to puzzles with particular steps, but it gets tedious after a few re-trials and that really kills the mood story-wise, the last fight is sadly the biggest example.

The art direction was good all in all, environments are beautiful, and character design is no exception.

It's about 10-12 hrs so by the time if starts getting monotonic you'll be almost over, give it a shot if you haven't played games like this for some time.
