Is this the best Soulsborne title that isn't Dark Souls or Elden Ring? Probably not, but at the very least, the unique time frame, aesthetic and graphics manage to make up a lot of ground compared to the rough around the edges gameplay. And hey, it got me to try a genre I wasn't interested in.
