Telltale's most sumptuous art style to date, ingeniously melding classical film noir with synthwave and of-the-era grit. The environments look stunning, and the score is nice and moody just as it should be. The story, however, I think starts to taper off hard after the first or second episode - sort of exchanging its great initial mystery with yet another batch of (increasingly more inconsequential and tiring) Telltale infinite-ending shenanigans. Still, I'd never call it bad - the characters, for the most part, are good and help carry the narrative through its dry spell well enough. But the atmosphere is what really shines through here, nearly worth the price of admission by itself.
