Dark Souls II is not a bad game, but for about 15 hours, I was having the most miserable gaming experience of my life. The misery was not the game's fault yet not my fault either. It was a combined effort of misfortune that almost caused me to drop the game entirely. I am ultimately glad I didn't, but about half of my first, most impressionable experience with Dark Souls 2 is forever tarnished.
