KotOR 2 is a direct improvement over the first entry in almost every sense except for how unstable it can be at times. It's accessible for an RPG and the story is probably the best you can do with Star Wars and their retrograde morality system without dropping "The Force" entirely.
Don't forget about the restored content mod because this game is infamous for being unfinished, but some highly dedicated people have put some of the pieces back together.
