I don't know what to write that isn't already evident; the combat is excellent, the characters are memorable and you can suplex a Metal Gear during the first 30 minutes of the game. It's not the most accessible title and it doesn't have a lot of content if you aren't interested in clearing the game in harder difficulties, but I would recommend it for anyone who's interested in action games.
Also, even though I've beaten this game at least 4 times already, I'm still not tired of the zandatsu animation, it's deliciously brutal.
The dynamic soundtrack is also noteworthy and probably one of the most iconic aspects of this game, it really makes bosses extremely memorable and is something you have to experience for yourself. Not to mention this might be one of the most quotable games ever.
Finally, a word of advice: learn to parry ASAP, sadly the game doesn't explain it very well, but it's essential for beating the game. You have to briefly point the analog stick towards the incoming enemy attack and press the attack button at the same time. You should also buy the dodge as soon as possible, no idea why it's not unlocked by default.
