Hector: Badge of Carnage is a relatively straightforward adventure game, it's never as obtuse as this genre can get, but I personally needed more hints than usual for a Telltale game. Otherwise I liked the opening section more than the rest of the game because the latter requires a lot of traveling back and forth between areas.
The writing doesn't have a lot going for it besides being unusually vulgar and British. The graphics and music are serviceable.
Ultimately, Hector is on the weaker side of Telltale's library of great adventure games, I didn't enjoy playing it much besides the opening section and I wouldn't recommend it overall.
