This game really did blow up huh. We should talk about the many different ports this one had in its day. Much more interesting than 4 but still comparable. Anyway yeah man the pacing in this is tight. Atmosphere is great puzzles are a little cryptic but the game definitely has an innate sense of progression. Of course always heightened by the tension of limited saves and checkpoints make those runs in between safe rooms that much more thrilling and impactful. Feels like you've do come a long way and earn a lot. Strategic path planning and doing item runs are fun. I missed out on a lot of secrets and I admire the post game content although for reference I've only beaten Leon a. The camera angles are used to great effect obscuring the enemies and path ahead but lending to very interesting ways of showing mundane locations and the game still will telegraph enemies by sound which adds it's on endearing spook factor. It's honestly quite great. Music is iconic and Leon made one of the protagonists ever. A must play
