Super Metroid was one of my favorite games growing up, despite never owning a physical copy of it. I remember taking it out from the video store and trying to beat it before the rental period ended. It was a fun game to explore, and it was just so different than anything else on the market. I absolutely adored it. I replayed it a few years ago when it dropped on the Wii U E Shop, and I enjoyed it still, but less than I had expected to. The game still aged quite well, but it didn't live up to the expectations I had set in my mind, which had left me a bit disappointed. Still, despite that, I feel it is an incredible game, and I will always consider it one of my all time favorites.
