This game was released in 2000 which was the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Calendar.

The gameplay is the same as the first two games. Collect the gems and find the games mcguffin which in this game is Dragon eggs. The reason for collecting the dragon eggs is the main villain wants to use the baby dragons for different reasons. The reasons change for no reason whatsoever. The first reason is because dragons are the source of magic. But then, she wants to kill the baby dragons to create a new spell. This makes the Sorceress' a twisted villain.

New playable characters are introduced. Shelia is a kangaroo who can jump really high. Sgt Byrd, my favourite, is a penguin who can fly with a jet pack. Bentley is a yeti who can't jump high or move quickly but brings strength. Agent 9 is a monkey who wields a laser with 3rd person and 1st person shooters. Sprax the Dragonfly is now playable with space shooter levels.

Upgrades are now available when Sprax beats his levels like pointing to missing gems which is a huge life saver.

For some time I wondered why I don't favour this as much as Gateway to Glimmer and recently I found out. Before I played this game for the first time on PS1, I played Ratchet & Clank 1, 2 & 3, Uncharted 1 and Days Gone which are better 3rd person shooters and Agent 9's sections are not very good to control. I know comparing newer games is not good and fair but, I don't care.
