An amazing remake of an equally amazing game. It holds the same charm as the original, coupled with a very sweet artstyle and useful QOL features. I found myself loving completing this game to its fullest and am currently doing it all over again. I can only hope for an Explorers DX in the future.

Probably on of the worse Pokémon games out there. Not abyssmal, but definitely not much fun. The gameplay is boring and the story is a load of wasted potential. This was a very rough start for 3D mainline games, and I can only count a handful of people that actually categorize this as their favorite Pokémon game.

Although this is another Kanto game with a different coat of paint, I had a lot of fun with this. The new catching style is a lot more involved and satisfying. I find myself shiny hunting in this game more than others due to the easy methods. Good passtime, and I wouldn't mind another remake with this style.
