I'm extremely conflicted on Apollo Justice. Everything that I like about this game is easily countered by something negative.

- I love Apollo Justice as a protag, BUT the game still feels as though it focuses as Phoenix as the protagonist, ESPECIALLY in the final case almost completely leaving Apollo in the dust.
- The final case was spectacular with an awesome past/present gameplay aspect, which was great except the other two cases (the one with Wocky and with the guitar) were total dredges to get through, reminding me why I abandoned the game in the first place.
- I loved the final reveal of Trucy and Apollo being siblings, but hated that it was brought up so late that we couldn't see them interact as brother and sister.
- The reveal of the singing woman being their alive mother was fun and surprising in the stupid way I always loved Ace Attorney being, but again we never see any reaction to this, and made the guitar case make sense on why it felt so rushed as they felt the need to push it into the story to bring it all together.
- Kristoph was a fun villain, but Klavier was the archetype of being so much of everything that it cancels out and creates a Mary Sue (I'm a rockstar! I'm a lawyer! I'm a cop! I'm a lady's man! I'm sooooo perfect, don't you just naturally love me??) He reminded me of Ashley from Huniepop 2 and why I couldn't stand her in that game either.

Throughout the game, it just made me miss playing with Phoenix and Maya in the original trilogy. Maya was older too which made a lot of the jokes a lot less... creepy. I feel Maya was treated less perverted-ly in the original trilogy too, even when being much older than Trucy (unless she was in Mia's form which uh... yeah makes sense haha). I like Trucy, but being a girl slightly into the stages of puberty seems to give the okay to having uncomfortable comments constantly thrown at her was not enjoyable to me. Sorry!

While I do enjoy Apollo and the banter he brings, and also feel the cornered theme in this game has to be one of the best of the series, overall the game was a bit disappointing, and was less than what I expected and wanted from an Ace Attorney game.
