Its legacy and influence is simply undeniable, but whether you like it or not depends on how much you love its genre and the jank that comes with it being a 2001 JRPG. For me it's a pretty strong game, though the endgame is tellingly stapled together and the random encounter rate, even with turbo on is very crazy. Otherwise, I did really enjoy my time with this one and can highly recommend it if you're a PS2-era JRPG fan like I am. If you are a PS2-era JRPG fan, this is a must-play.
