Genuine contender for game of the century. In terms of gameplay, atmosphere, and immersion, no game in recent memory comes close. The openness and free exploration of the world with minimal hand holding is something special, especially considering the Zelda series is infamous for being incredibly overbearing and hand hold-y. The story is pretty generic for Zelda but that’s really the only major flaw of the game. Aside from the story and minor references, every obnoxious Zelda tradition has been discarded. BotW is a must play that I would recommend to literally anyone. Can’t wait for the sequel to come out, this game was a life changing experience.
