Never really played the original so this will have to do. The graphic overhaul is nice but often the saturated colors become too much at times that it ruins some of the level's intended atmosphere. Also some of the levels, like the Kelp Forest or Flying Dutchman, are pretty lacking in terms of design. Especially the former for how easy it is to get lost and progress through stages in the level.

Overall, a pretty damn good game.
