I love the concept and the style that Danganronpa has, but I always find myself just slightly disappointed with it. Danganronpa suffers a bit from what I'd call "Kingdom Hearts Dialogue Syndrome", where the writing leans on certain words the the point of absurdity, with increasingly contortionist interpretations of those words. With Kingdom Hearts it's light, darkness and hearts. For Danganronpa it's hope and despair. Either way the story and characters manage to be interesting.

When compared to Ace Attorney though, the actual cases have some issues. There are several instances where the logic is sketchy at best. I remember at least one time where I had to select a combination of two words in a certain order, when logically speaking the order shouldn't have mattered at all. Several of the cases (though not all) are also very predictable for fans of these sorts of games.

Basically Danganronpa has its flaws, but it's cool as heck, so it's worth a play.
