I'm really disappointed with this one. I was very excited to play ahead of it's release, and thought it would be a pretty unique title.

Instead it's sadly a rote point-and-click game tied up in a time loop narrative that gets tedious and frustrating very quickly. A lot of the choices you need to make in each loop are prescribed and linear, and there's very little room for experimentation.

Beyond that, the narrative isn't that much to write home about. It's messily told and I don't really get the "point" of it. I understand the events but not really why this was a story that needed telling. Any twists you experience can be seen miles away, and it feels like mechanics of the loop were created first and then the narrative haphazardly shaped around them.

Combine all of this with some pretty clunky animations and clipping (the "set the table" animations and the objects clicking into place are particularly weird) and it makes for a jarring and again, tedious experience.

I have to wonder if they could have saved money by hiring non-Hollywood voice actors and used it to polish up the gameplay + animation assets or add an extra gameplay mechanic or two. Or to push the story further.

If you're a diehard adventure game fan you might get something out of this, or if you're a GamePass owner and you don't mind potential disappointment then give it a try I guess. But don't say I didn't warn you.
