This is technically my second playthrough, the first being in 2007 when I and a buddy rented it and played it through in co-op in a single sitting when it launched. I don't really remember much of that playthrough so this felt relatively fresh.

The improvements are obvious, though I think some of them frustrated me. I'm so used to more recent shooters (and especially Bungie's Destiny) that I so often would hit shift to sprint and it would use the ability item I currently had equipped. I know I could have changed the keybind but w/e.

There are some epic moments in the story but it doesn't feel as great as Halo 2. Part of this could be because the Halo 2 Anniversary Ed. has some really impressive Blur cutscenes that help you get into it whereas these are just the standard in-engine Halo 3 cutscenes from 2007. Despite this I still had fun with it.

On to Halo 4!
