The first of the series that I've ever played, Yakuza: Like A Dragon / Like A Dragon is an incredibly fun turn-based RPG with a surprisingly emotional and well told storyline.

It's hampered only by some mechanics/mini-games that are either incoherent or don't mesh well with the rest of the game, as well as a small number of late stage difficulty spikes that can be pretty frustrating.

If there was anything I would especially like to see from Like A Dragon 8 it would be a combat system that is a little quicker. The idea of it happening within the real-world space is cool, but when party members end up miles away because they hadn't caught up to you when the battle started gets frustrating when you have to wait for them to run up to the enemy they are attacking. I also think the destructable objects that party members occasionally take advantage of doesn't make a large enough effect to be interesting. You almost don't need them.

I was genuinely blown away by the main story, and I found the final moments of the game to be some of most engaging and brilliantly performed moments of any game I've ever played. Ichiban Kasuga is now up there as one of my all-time favourite game protagonists.
