Overall a really great core metroid experience. Samus takes up a lot of screen real estate on the GBA, and the final section of the game made me realize why so many iterations of Metroid Dread were cancelled before completion. But honestly the game design up until the final chapter was very fun and had next to no obtuse progression that plagued Fusion and a couple other metroid games.

Great pacing, but lacking the nuanced atmosphere and story of later metroid games. Well worth playing as a fan of the series (or genre) and a very fun standalone game for newcomers to the series/genre as well.
