While its story, music, and characters may pale in comparison to that of the original LiS, Life is Strange: True Colors still holds its own as a great narrative experience presented through absolutely stunning visuals and strong voice acting. The detailed love and care put into the environment and world-building were fantastic, and the music helped carry the ambiance.

Erika Mori, in particular, absolutely nailed her role in portraying the protagonist Alex Chen. I can't say I was overly invested in her conflicts or troubles, but she always made her life in Haven Springs feel believable and "emotional" alive.

Although the finale felt a little less polished than expected, I am content with where the story carried itself and concluded. That being said, I plan to return someday to see the different possible outcomes throughout the story — a solid 3.5/5.
