The Quarry is an ambitious game with a tremendous supply of “replayability.” Boasting an impressive cast of seasoned actors and trending stars, this game feels more akin to the likes of Black Mirror’s Bandersnatch film than to any other video game I have ever played (I have yet to check out Until Dawn, but it is officially on my list). Despite the game’s gripping plot, interesting characters, and captivating aesthetic, its shortcomings are as clear as a full moon in the night sky. Occasionally shoddy graphics and clunky scene transitions prevent this game from reaching its true potential. Though it is quite foundational in its efforts and I can’t wait to see what is next from Supermassive Games.
