What a fucking game. it took about 4 hours for me to beat and my only complaint is that its way too short. The first thing that stuck me was the music, the mixes of experimental rock, drone, indie rock, and many other noisy and werid-esque genres fit this game perfectly and im so happy to see those genres finally be used in a game that really fits it. The claymation art is also done extremely well and just adds to the all of the oddities that this game came with. As someone who has loved JPRGS nearly their whole life, this game managed to accomplish much more in just 4 hours than most AAA RPG's aren't. I can tell just from one playthrough how much love and passion was put into this project and I am going to try my best to buy and play Hylics 2 ASAP. An amazing showing of surreal art with extremely well done RPG mechanics.
