This game is awesome, you'll feel like a micromanaging ship captain and I honestly have no complaints. Other than I wish there was more, and there's a lot already.

This game is terrible, except when in a huge group of your closest friends all bartering and not being sweaty tryhards.

This is one of my all time favorite games, and that's not necessarily because it's amazing at anything, it's just consistently good at a lot of what it does.

HIGHLIGHTS:
• Replayability, after your first play through you can reroll every 'area' of the game to get different dungeons and loot to permanently unlock. This can feel pretty bad if you are specifically grinding for something, but I'll get into that later.
• Co-Op, in this game you can easily join or have friends join in on you, at any point, and the healing system is VAST what with many items, abilities, and armors that work for team play.
• Fun mechanics, save for a couple enemies and bosses you'll find yourself challenged and engaged with enemy mechanics, unlike some soulslike games where you can big weapon and plow your way through 90% of the encounters this one you always have to play safe and smart.
- To add, the newest DLC 2923 has a lot of bosses that feel like raid bosses in MMOs where positional and area attacks are key to pay attention to. Very good addition if you're into that.
• Graphics, while this game isn't the most beautiful thing in the world and doesn't offer next gen features like Ray Tracing, it has a certain ambiance that I personally find very appealing. The eerie glow through mist, the radiant gems shining through overgrown mobs, the greasy shine of swampland mobs, it's all very fitting to where it is and they nail all their locals and mobs for them. Again, not super detailed, but an absolute match for the theme everywhere you go.

DOWNSIDES:
• Grind, So this can go a few ways. Some people will LOVE to reroll maps to get all the loot but here's the issue. Some of the look requires some very specific map requirements, such as a specific dungeon boss and a specific vendor all being present on the same map, which is a very low chance. (Bare Fist Melee Ring) OR there is the Letos Amulet, my white whale. I've done the math, statistically it is very low percent that I have done around 100 Earth rolls and never once seen Leto's amulet, but that sure is the case. It's whatever, I get it, but I feel like something needs to be built in where every roll always has to have something you don't have, if at all possible, because there are a LOT of different things to loot.
• Lag, The game isn't perfect. It has a lot of rubber banding at times and when you add multiplayer to the mix you can find yourself in a lot of situations where fighting at range becomes frustrating. This is especially true in Subject 2923, where some maps you legitimately can't use projectile based weapons such as crossbows because they'll hit invisible textures that are floating in the air in front of you, or between you and the enemy. This can feel pretty bad when using the ultimate of the bleed crossbow and it just embeds into the thin air feet away from you instead of a big elite pushing you in.

At the end of the day, I recommend this game. Maybe a 7/10. HOWEVER, with friends? 9.5/10. This game is seriously so fun with friends it's ridiculous.

Anyway, thought I'd leave a review now that Remnant 2 is coming out. Can't express enough how excited I am for that!
