This game is fucking awful.
The pre-release of this game was extremely stressful, from insecure Sonic fans on Twitter attacking people for criticizing the game to the entire Game Awards fiasco. I didn't play this game when it first came out last year, but I did play it later with Steam Family Sharing and....I dodged a bullet. The visuals look like someone first attempt at trying the Unreal Engine with horrible pop-in that I never saw before on any modern game. The open-world feels very boring with baby task missions and terrible controls. The animations are very stiff and it blows my mind about how games that came out years ago have better animations then this game. The combat is very button-mashy, with style taking precedence over substance. Even in the Super Sonic bossfights, it's all about style over substance. Cyberspace is terrible, with its reuse of assets and level design from previous Sonic games (which are far superior), and its sluggish and slow controls. The only redeeming feature of this game is its soundtrack.I am astounded that this game has a Steam rating of 90%. This is one of Sonic's worst (at least in my opinion), and I will not recommend it. There are numerous other games that do the same things as Frontiers but much better. Extremely disappointing.

I was looking forward to this game and was pleased with it when it arrived. Sonic Superstars is far from perfect, but it is enjoyable. With actual momentum, the controls are surprisingly good. The character animations are also excellent. The Emerald Powers are meh, and I only use them when absolutely necessary. The only drawbacks I have with this game are how boring it looks and the level design on the later levels. They're far too furry and sloppy. The bosses are also awful, possibly the worst in the franchise. Overall, it's a solid title, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a Sonic fan. Instead, go play Mania.

I discovered this game on YouTube and thought it looked interesting, so I decided to play it on Steam using Steam Family Sharing and had a terrible time. For me, the story is extremely boring and uninteresting. The cult system is fine at first, but it quickly becomes exhausting and boring. Combat is tedious, and dungeons are tedious. There are only two buttons: attack and dodge. In this game, fighting entails repeatedly mashing the attack button while dodging the occasional projectile or lunge forward. Enemies appear to be too easy to defeat, and bosses feel more like a shump rather than a rougelite. Visuals are the only element in this game that is good. Cult of the Lamb feels like it doesn't know what game that it wants to be. There are far better rogue-likes out there. I am so glad that I didn't waste my money on this cooperate cashgrab slop. Go play other games like Spark the Electric Jester 3 or Bomb Rush Cyberfunk instead of this shit.
Game Rating (for me at least) 4/10,
Enjoyment Rating 2/10
