I'm absolutely floored with how amazing this game was, from its amazing soundtrack and visuals, to its very touching and well written story, so much love was poured into this game by its devs and it shows with much enjoyment you get out of playing. I loved solving puzzles with the bestest of boys Coco and hanging out with the supporting cast of characters you meet and help along the way. Sitting down and having talks and eating well made comfort food with those characters felt so heartwarming hearing about their lives, it never felt like filler but a part of this games excellent writing. The game requires multiple playthroughs to get the most out of it, and to see its true ending, but that was no problem for me I'd happily get wrapped up in this games dreamlike world, that is just straight out of a childrens storybook. This games highlight is the superb story that is equal times wholesome as it is emotional, like the writers went all in on tugging at your heartstrings, second best highlight is giving Coco bellyrubs and playing with toys to fill his "Good Boy Meter". This is definitely a diamond in the rough that I would love to see more people take a chance with!

Even when the Bendy devs arent making a game for that snoozefest series, they still manage to make the gaming equivalent to horse tranquilizer. They'll make a decent game at some point im really rooting for them!

Me when the windows are gone 0_0

Bought the game near its release from its art style giving off some real Newgrounds/James Lee vibes and got intrigued, sadly the overall gameplay is nothing short of a walking sim with events and jumpscares happening every so often. Would like to see something more from this dev cause obviously they have ideas and can create an atmosphere, hopefully with more diversity when it comes to what you can do

This game was very "ok" front to back. It's spritework and art direction is the real winner as it looks visually appealing and cute. Gameplay feels very run of the mill and bland and the story wasnt all that interesting, kind of stopping itself as it was getting interesting.

This game is a really fun "Yakuza Lite" experience, it brings its most enjoyable stuff to the table and allows you to just mess around. For a "DLC turned game" and being made in 6 months it looks and runs great, obviously there are tons of reusables from other games but the new areas are cool. Gameplay is super streamlined, you have the majority of your arsenal right away being allowed to upgrade very little in comparison to the other games, while also leaving out certain upgrades that i guess just didnt fit the combat in this game. The Agent fighting style is also super fun to switch things up from the Yakuza Style. The substories and Castle content are gonna take the majority of your free time, aside from entertainment stuff, and while not the worst thing, sometimes it feels they are generally extra stuff that couldve been used or introduced in other Yakuza games. Having a money skill tree back is fine mostly because the Castle is a money printer and I found the colosseums gameplay loop fun. The story is... servicable, its short and to the point, told well and has its moments. I can see why there are complaints though, 90% of the game is side content and for people who wanted more out of this game, Infinite Wealth is coming soon. But, this is the first Yakuza game i've gone really into the side content so im like a kid in a candy store and have been loving the side content. Overall this is a great experience to warm up before the new content drops, even with some of the more hard hitting content absent

Just finished in time for Like a Dragon: Gaiden so thats neat. First off this game is obviously a showcase for their new Dragon Engine to fix issues the old engine had, and it serves that purpose quite well. Obv I played K2 first so I know how it feels and in K2 it played wonderfully in that game and also in Y6. The main highlight I had with Y6 was the writing, no longer are the writers juggling 4-5 main characters and their respective stories ITS ALL KIRYU NOW. Thats not to say only Kiryu got that treatment, even older and new characters felt awesome to hear conversing with each other I loved the interactions. The Hirose Family is such a joy to have around on screen they bounce off each other and Kiryu like rubber. The overall story was intriguing as well, each of the story beats had weight and mystery surrounding them. Though one complaint has to be how grand they tried to make the story between Chapter 11 and 12, I was lost during the lore dumps and didnt feel that sucker punch im sure the writers wanted to pull. Cant wait to start diving into the spinoff games after i finish Gaiden, then its the (not so long) wait for Infinite Wealth, the game that for some reason got me to spend over a week marathoning these games straight like my eyes are glazing over pls help...

Really enjoyed this entry, both in the story and the gameplay. They essentially took what didnt work with 4's story and while stretching it out to a pretty long playthrough, they remodelled it to have 4 solid stories being told in one game, then neatly wrapping it up with a bow for the finale. That being said I still feel like they did Saejima dirty in both 4 and 5, like while his story is the strongest aside from Kiryu's, idk why I was playing Cabela's in the frozen forest for an hour. Shinada was also a mixed bag, while I enjoyed his character, his part was really lacklustre until the final chapter when the mystery was revealed. Overall this was a solid game that pulled its punches right and didnt overdo or steered clear entirely of the typical "Yakuza schlock" the previous games had.

10 goated games in one collection need I say more?

Ya idk what happened here this game felt rushed overall. First half of the game has 2 alright stories, I enjoyed Saejima's the most mostly from seeing his character I was introduced to in 0 come full circle and to see more interaction with him and Majima. Tanimura's section bored me to tears i couldnt care less about his blank slate character and idk why Kiryu had a section tbh this could've been just a filler game showing the different sides of Kamurocho, but it had to get lazily brings all the characters together for a generic ending, and a DOGWATER FINAL FIGHT WHAT HAPPENED. The gameplay is more of the same, but with addition of having your skills reset every 4-5 hours which while annoying I can give props for having different fighting styles to spice things up, even if Tanimura's sucks pretty hard. I get the multiple story angle is a necessary evil so they could've pulled off smth like Yakuza 0 having 2 intertwined stories, even if that game had 2 established characters instead of 3 unknowns and Kiryu.

So this was a bore to get through even at 13 hours long. It definitely is unfair to judge this game after coming off of 3 extremely polished games, but i cant help but feel like its still a total step back. For example the story is noticeably weaker than Y0 K1 and K2, story was full of new characters I had little care for (especially the children) and has way more cliches riddled throughout that makes me think this game is aware of Yakuza's general formula. This games combat is a prime example of what artificial difficulty is with constant blocks, staggers and knockdowns even with basic Downtown Ryukyu enemies. With the bosses being so aggravating to get through. The writing was less effective but still had its moments where I was intrigued by the conversation, just that the events being described I had little reason to care for. Hoping this is a blip in an overall good series so far

This feels like the first great Yakuza game i've finished. The game looks great running on a new engine, so good it has my GPU work overtime to render the particles and reflections. The combat felt like it had a true facelift, making it easier to get in and out of fights, with less staggers and knockdowns, and with muscle soda the combat becomes trivial to the point I felt bad for ending boss fights in 5 seconds. Skill tree progression is kino i loved the list system they had, and how you can gain those points through basic things had me always progressing through it. The story was also a banger I loved the contained subject throughout the game, even if the beginning took a while to kick off and the ending left me baffled that middle section is phenomenal.

Felt like more Y0 with less polish and equal jank. The story was the highlight i really enjoyed the whodunnit angle and the characters that accompany Kiryu are enjoyable. Skill tree is basic but much better than the money tree so +1 there. Haruka is annoying but im sure she'll grow on me by the time I get to Y6... hopefully.

As my first entry into the Yakuza series it was a great introduction. Getting familiar with the characters and cities was done well, slowly easing your way through it until it becomes familiar. For Y0 I enjoyed Majima's intro more than Kiryu's, his story was more interesting throughout while Kiryu had parts that I was invested in. The combat is super jank and was my least favourite part of the game, being staggered and knocked down, while having 90% of your attacks blocked was annoying and since there are quite a few massive mob fights, those felt draining getting through. The other jank addition is the skill tree, im glad this was a one and done for the setting cause whoever thought of a money based skill tree is insane. Overall I enjoyed my time despite some glaring setbacks
