As someone who has never played a half-life game I have to say I didn't enjoy it much. It takes way too long to complete and eventually the gameplay just becomes a little too repetitive there aren't a lot of concepts explored other than just shoot and move forward. Of course I am playing this game in 2023 so the standard of game that I am used to is a lot different than that of someone who enjoyed this game when it first released.
