On the one hand, this game is a masterclass in refined gameplay. They built upon the strengths of the first game and doubled down on what made it fun, resulting in a truly fun experience.
However, the story is a mixed bag. While it has some genuinely captivating moments, the decision to leave a major cliffhanger mid-game and then rewind to another character's perspective felt jarring. This made me want to rush through Abby's sections, eager to get back to the unresolved plot thread.
Furthermore, the timeline jumps can be a bit confusing at times, hindering narrative flow.
Overall, this is a good game, but its storytelling choices might test your patience. If you can power through the narrative hiccups, you'll find a deeply engaging gameplay experience beneath the surface.
