Sometimes it's good to know when to throw in the towel folks!
I've decided after much musing, I will no longer being engaging in open correspondence on this site, as its bringing me too much paralysis. I've realized that I let destructive criticism effect me too deeply (there is also no way to 'mute' the notifications on individual posts, something that even twitter has for preserving peoples mental wellbeing), and tend to view most correspondence on here at this point even from myself as a way to increase notoriety rather than actually engage in a meaningful discourse, especially without citations or references being a bulk of the discussion. On top of all those admittedly 'self absorbed' reasons for departure, BL's rudimentary activity system means that people can track where you are commenting and bother those people as much as you in the future. Thus I can't perceive public discourse as anything more than an immense risk and waste of cognitive resources. As such, if you'd like to tell me something, you can privately reach out to me. My contact information is in my bio, and I'll have an Email out soon to. I've just lost the luster to use this place primarily, for various reasons that don't really matter.
That said, I highly recommend you use the report button rather than gossip or chew people out as it creates a hostile environment to share in for everyone. Once in a while, I might make a post on here about a game I found, but I feel like I'd rather get a blog set up to make that a more 'concrete' project rather than how I've been doing it so far. I hope everyone stays safe and well ^-^
