Best Call of Duty Campaigns (Ranked)
I've always loved Call of Duty for its campaigns so this is a ranked list of the best Call of Duty campaigns. This list goes all the way from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare up to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The titles before Call of Duty 4 are not included in this list.
A good campaign does not necessarily need an exceptional story only but it also needs to have an enjoyable gameplay.

Modern Warfare (2019) has the best gameplay out of all COD campaigns. Unfortunately, the story was average compared to the others but the gameplay compensated for it.

Despite the hate this game garnered, the campaign is severely underrated and is arguably the best campaign since Black Ops II (and before MW2019).

Call of Duty WWII has the most average COD campaign in my opinion.

It succeeds Black Ops II as the shortest COD campaign I've ever played. Black Ops Cold War tried to replicate what made the first Black Ops games good but it did not succeed. It was at least a decent attempt given this game was made during the pandemic.

It tried way too hard narrate an ultra deep story but it failed miserably by narrating an extremely convoluted one instead. Also, it's barely connected to the Black Ops storyline at all. The gameplay was good in multiplayer but was absolutely boring in the campaign. Black Ops III's campaign was just awful, which is a shame considering the other aspects of the game were very good.
